Correcting the Gender Investment Gap

At Access HR Solutions Ltd, we’re not just committed to inclusion and diversity—we’re deeply passionate about it. According to the World Bank, despite women making up nearly half of the global population, female-owned businesses represent just over thirty percent of formal, registered businesses worldwide. Additionally, our own research highlights that nearly half of women-led businesses struggle more than their male counterparts when it comes to accessing finance.

The gender funding gap is not only an injustice for society, but it also represents a missed opportunity for economic growth on a global scale. In fact, the Rose Review suggests that the UK economy could see a boost of more than £250bn if women were able to start and scale businesses at the same rate as men.

Our commitment

For these reasons, in collaboration with a select group of trusted partners, we have launched our Closing the Gender Funding Gap initiative to help support women-owned businesses. Our mission is threefold:

To collaborate with like-minded partners in building support networks for female entrepreneurs.

To promote financial literacy and education for women aspiring to start their own businesses.

To help more female-founded businesses secure the funding they need to grow and succeed.

Our collaborators

We are collaborating with Female Founder Finance to refine our communication strategies and business model for female business owners, ensuring they have the knowledge and access to funding options that will help them thrive. Throughout 2024 and beyond, we will actively seek to connect with and partner with other organisations that share our goals, expanding the support we can provide to women entrepreneurs.
